Little Ballers at FCP Sports is built entirely for that moment. For the 5, 6, and 7-year-old who isn’t ready for pressure, but is absolutely ready to fall in love with the game. Small groups. We don’t sort them by skill and move on. We meet every child exactly where they are — and we make basketball feel like theirs.

What Your 5-Year-Old Actually Needs From Basketball

A game built for how they actually play. Eight-foot baskets so they can actually make shots. Smaller basketballs that fit their hands. Shorter periods. Rules that reward learning, not just winning. This is how kids fall in love with the sport instead of dreading it.

Coaches who teach during the game. Our coaches are on the floor during every game — guiding positioning, passing, decision-making. This isn’t a competition dressed up as a clinic. It’s a teaching environment that happens to include a scoreboard.

Every child plays. Every game. No bench-warming. Playing time is distributed so every child gets meaningful minutes in every game — not because we have to, but because this is how kids grow.

They leave feeling like an athlete. Your child plays in a real environment, wearing a real uniform, on a real court. When they get in the car after, they’ll talk about it for days.

Post-game coaching. After each game, players get a short coaching session that connects what just happened on the court to what they’re working on. The lessons stick.

The Entry Point to Organized Basketball

Little Ballers is designed to be the beginning. Every child who plays here gets a positive first experience with organized basketball – and most of them come back for more. After Little Ballers, the natural next step is the Junior Division (3rd-5th grade) in our fall or summer leagues. Between seasons, our basketball camps and training programs keep the development going.

This is where future camp attendees, training clients, and competitive players get their start. It begins with a good first experience, and that is exactly what Little Ballers delivers.
